AirMedia enables faculty to share content from laptops, tablets, or smartphones to classroom projector displays, without the need for cables. Faculty can use AirMedia to deliver lectures, showcase multimedia presentations, and facilitate interactive discussions, without being tied to the podium computer. The system supports multiple participants, meaning students can also share their screens, right from their desks. Its user-friendly interface ensures quick setup and operation, while its secure connectivity safeguards academic content.
Georgian College currently has more than 30 AirMedia enabled classrooms and continues to add more as budget and infrastructure updates allow. See AirMedia Enabled Classrooms to find out if the classroom you’re teaching in is one of them!

Windows Computers
Windows computers, such as most Georgian-issued laptops, are the simplest to connect to AirMedia. We recommend opening the content you wish to share first (e.g. Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc.) and then following the steps below to share your screen.
Important note about privacy
Presenting wirelessly with AirMedia on a Windows computer will share your entire screen. You are not able to select specific windows or programs. Be mindful of what content you have open on your computer when you begin presenting!
Connecting to AirMedia on a Windows computer
- On the control panel at the podium, turn on the display. Then select Wireless Presentation.

- On your computer, ensure you are connected to the Georgian Wi-Fi.

- On your computer keyboard, press the Windows key + K.

- Choose your classroom from the available displays.

- You'll be prompted to enter a PIN. The PIN will appear on the classroom projector display. Enter the PIN and click Connect.

- It may take a few seconds for the connection to happen. Your screen may go black – this is normal! Then, choose how you want to share your content – we would recommend Duplicate or Extend, depending on what works best for you and the content you are sharing.

You can now present your content from anywhere in the room, without being tied to the podium!
Disconnect from AirMedia
To disconnect, on your computer keyboard, press the Windows key + K and then choose Disconnect.

Important note about iOS devices

It's also recommended that your iOS is up to date. If the issue persists, please contact Media Services for technical support.
