Making course menu items unavailable (hidden)

To hide course menu items, follow these steps.

  1. In your course, locate the item you wish to adjust.
  2. Hover over the item to reveal the drop-down arrow and click it to open the item menu.
  3. Select Hide Link.

A box with a line through it appears. Students will no longer see this in their menu but links providing access to content within that area may still allow access to the material.

Making course menu items available

If your item has a box with a line through it, it is not visible to students in your course. To make it visible, follow these steps.

  1. In your course, locate the item you wish to adjust.
  2. Hover over the item to reveal the drop-down arrow and click it to open the item menu.
  3. Select Show Link.

The box with the link through it will disappear and your content is now available for students to access. Individual item availability will also need to be reviewed.
