Click, Drag, and Drop Method:

  1. Identify the item (assignment, test, file, folder, module) in your course that you wish to move to a new location within the course content.
  2. Hover your mouse cursor over between the two grey lines that contain the item you wish to move until the cursor becomes an white coloured, open hand, palm facing into the computer (🤚).
  3. Avoid hovering over the title of the item or any other area that could be clicked to open the item's content.
  4. As you hover the boarder and background around the item will turn to a translucent pink-ish colour.  A six-dot “waffle” will also appear to the left of the item's title.  It is best to hover the cursor over this spot.
  5. Click on the six-dot “waffle” and hold down on the mouse.  You will be able to pick up the item and move it around as long as you continue to hold your left mouse button.
  6. Drag the item to the new location.  To drop the item, the area where it locate, will turn to a translucent purple-ish colour.  This is where the item will land.
  7. If you are intending on moving an item INTO a folder, it can be tricky.  Follow the same steps as above, but now you will look for a purple-lined box that surrounds the folder or module location and the item you wish to move.

The Keyboard Method:

  1. Using the “TAB” key, identify the item you wish to move within the course content. You will see a blue-lined box that surrounds clickable or movable items. Use the “SHIFT” and “TAB” keys in tandem to cycle the blue-lined box in the opposite direction.
  2. Once you have stopped and found the item you wish to move, hit the “ENTER” key to select the item. This will highlight the item in a pink-ish translucent box with a purple outline.
  3. Use the arrow keys to move the item up and down within the course content section.  You will NOT be able to move an item into a folder or module using this method unless the folder has been expanded.
