Introduction

Users can delete all or some content from the Course Content area in an Ultra shell using the batch edit feature.

  1. In the Course Content area click on the ellipses (three dots) in the top right-hand corner and select Batch Edit.

  2. Click in the checkbox beside Item in the top left hand corner of the screen to highlight all items or click in each checkbox individually. At the bottom right-hand side of the screen click on Delete items.

  3. A pop up will ask if you want to Delete Content, click on Delete.

  4. Your course shell now empty. You may see a notice advising that there were some exceptions to the update. Click on the link to review exceptions.

  5. The screenshot below may appear as Blackboard is currently experiencing a known issue where an unexpected error message is produced. You can disregard this message as, if you refresh your page, you will see the content has been deleted.

Announcements and Discussions: if you would like to delete all content from your course shell please review the Announcements and/or Discussions tabs. If there is content in these areas, they will not be available for selection in the batch edit feature, these items must be deleted manually.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the exceptions please send an email to facultybbsupport@georgiancollege.ca.
