Introduction
Copying one Ultra course into another couldn’t get much easier. In fact, if you’ve copied pieces of one course into another, you’re already familiar with the process. To begin, you need to make sure you have the following things:
Access to the course that contains the content you want to copy (SOURCE)
Access to the course that you want to copy the content into (DESTINATION)

Getting Started
The first thing you need to check is that the Destination Course (where you are copying content into), and the Source Course (where the content exists) are both in Ultra format. If either course is in Original format, these steps will not work.
⚠️ Something look off?
If the Destination Course is incorrect, please advise your AO to review and correct.
Ultra to Ultra - here’s how:
When you have your live course shell and you have confirmed that it is in the correct format (Ultra vs Original), you can begin to copy your content in. To do this, follow these steps:
- Enter the DESTINATION course. This is where you want to ADD CONTENT INTO.
- Click the kebab (***) menu at the top of the Course Content area.
- Click Copy Items.
- Locate the course that ALREADY CONTAINS the content you want to copy.
- Click the checkbox beside that course to copy the entire course or click the course name to select parts of the course.
- Click Start Copy.
- Allow time for the content to appear and review when complete. You can also refresh your screen if you find that it is not automatically reloading.
That’s it! Your course is loaded in. All you have left is to quickly confirm your content and assessments loaded as expected, review visibility settings on each, and make your course available when you’re ready for students to have access to your course.
