Faculty Development Journey - Part-Time (FDJ-PT) - Winter 2025
2025 Pilot - Winter
Table of Contents
Welcome to the Georgian College faculty team. We are so pleased you are here!
Georgian recognizes the essential role you play in student success and has invested in supporting you on your new faculty journey.
We are engaged in a one-year pilot of faculty development for new faculty in their first semester at Georgian. This winter, we are pleased to offer you a flexible mix of synchronous (in real time online or in person) and asynchronous (access when it suits you) paid training that we hope will support you in making important connections in your first semester.
These connections include with peers, with Georgian policies and procedures, with our Centre for Teaching and Learning and with inspiring teaching practices. Through this journey together, we will help you navigate your first semester.
Some notes: SYNCHRONOUS means in real-time with peers. ASYNCHRONOUS means resources you access at any time. DUAL FLEX means you have the choice of attending in-person at the Barrie campus OR you may log in online to join the session. A link and the room location will be supplied in the calendar hold. ONLINE means the session is offered live virtually at the given time. Again, a join link will be shared in the calendar hold.
If you are an amazing new PART TIME peer, teaching six hours or less, follow this journey:
