Table of Contents
The Akindi tool in the Content Market in Blackboard was recently updated. Faculty that use Akindi, and plan to re-use assessments from previous courses, will be required to make some revisions to accommodate this update.
Accessing Akindi
All Akindi assessments are now found within one block.

Existing Akindi links that you added to your course content area with the previous Akindi blocks will appear broken.

You can re-add a link to Akindi by clicking on the “+” found at the bottom right corner of the new Akindi block in the Content Market.

When you launch the updated Akindi for the first time, you will be prompted to deny/allow. Choose Allow.

The new user interface will look slightly different.

When you click Launch Akindi Assessments, you may notice two copies of courses in the left-hand side menu. One copy is from the old Akindi tool, and the other is from the new Akindi tool. The course created by the newest version of Akindi will appear to have no assessments.

You can re-use assessments from “old” courses using the duplicate function in Akindi.
Re-using Assessments
You can re-use assessments from previous courses using the duplicate function in Akindi.
Go to the “old” copy of the course to find your assessments.

On the assessments you would like to re-use, click Duplicate.

Give the assessment a name and select the course where you want the assessment to go.

Note: the courses on the drop-down selection list will appear in the same order they appear on your main menu.
Click Duplicate.

Once you have duplicated all the assessments that you’d like to re-use, you can archive unneeded copies of old courses to clean up your main menu.
Archiving Past Courses
Once you have duplicated what you need to, you can archive the “old” course to keep your main menu cleaned up.
Click on the file box icon beside the name of the unneeded “old” course.

A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm that you’d like to archive the course. Click Archive.
