Tool Availability Notice: Akindi Importer

Georgian's Akindi Importer license will not be renewed.
As part of Georgian’s ongoing efforts to reduce financial strain and streamline digital tools, the college will be ending the current Akindi Importer license as of August 2025.
What you need to know:
Akindi Importer is for uploading assessments into Blackboard. We had only a small number of users actively using this tool. This is the tool we are not renewing.
Akindi Assessment is our Scantron replacement tool - this tool has been renewed.
Faculty will continue to have a number of options to create Blackboard questions:
- write questions offline and upload to a Blackboard test (see Upload Questions - Blackboard Support)
- use the AI Design Assistant in Blackboard to generate question banks (see Generate Question Banks - Blackboard Support)
- use the Oklahoma Christian University “Blackboard Test Generator” to create properly formatted question banks for upload into Blackboard (see OCU Blackboard Test Generator - CTL Knowledge Base)
