TECHNOLOGY IS TRANSFORMING OUR WORLD – FOR BETTER AND WORSE.

Those of us who are - or aspire to be - involved in the creation & application of technology have a unique opportunity & responsibility to help bend the arc of tech towards good.

Our students get it! Students in our Civil Engineering Technician/Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Architecture, Design, and Implementation programs are completing TSPP as part of their course requirements.

Here’s your chance! Be part of a growing group of almost 100 Georgian College faculty and staff who are practicing Tech Stewards! 

Be part of a growing group of Georgian College faculty, students and staff who are practicing Tech Stewards! With the rise of Generative AI [new tab] and the challenge of meeting our Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) [new tab], there’s never been a greater need for Tech Stewardship.

What is Tech Stewardship?

Tech Stewardship is a professional identity, orientation, and practice and Tech Stewards look for new ways to shape technology for the benefit of all. Join this 12-week courses as we make connections between our work and Tech Stewardship.  The program includes a mix of simple reflective exercises and other asynchronous activities through the Tech Stewardship Practice Program [new tab] (TSPP).  All this requires about one hour a week of your time.  It’s FREE to join through Georgian College, and $160 if you do it privately.

This program is delivered by the Centre for Teaching and Learning and the Social Innovation team — an exciting partnership promoting the powerful approach of tech stewardship as we progress toward integrating socio-ethical considerations into technical and innovation work and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
