Moving H5P Content from eCampus to Blackboard

Introduction
eCampusOntario has an H5P studio that faculty across Ontario, from all public post-secondary institutions, can use to create, adapt, reuse and share H5P content (so long as the copyright allows!). Many faculty took advantage of this design space prior to Georgian integrating H5P into our own Blackboard, but now are faced with having their H5P content in two places. This can complicate content management and editing. The eCampusOntario H5P studio is still a great place to generate ideas, or find content that you would like to adapt or reuse (again, if the licensing indicated on the content allows!), but managing your H5P content in Georgian's Blackboard allows for a more streamlined process when you need to update the content in your Blackboard shell. This article will explain how to move your H5P content from the eCampusOntario H5P studio into Georgian's H5P integration in Blackboard.
🗺️ Text Instructions
Here are step by step instructions for moving your H5P content from the eCampusOntario H5P Studio to Georgian's H5P integration in Blackboard Ultra.
Download the H5P content:
Open your H5P content that is housed in the eCampusOntario H5P Studio. Click the Reuse button found at the bottom left corner of the content. Click Download as an .h5p file.
Save the file in a location that you can easily find again.
Upload to Blackboard:
Go to View course & institution tools from the left-hand menu on the main page of your course, and then click Browse all course tools.
Find and click Interactive Content - H5P.
Click Add Content found near the top left corner of the page, and then click on Upload.
Upload the .h5p file you downloaded in a previous step, and click Use. Once the file has successfully uploaded, edit what you need to, and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
You can now edit as needed, and link or embed the H5P content where you'd like in your course by selecting it from your H5P content manager directly in Blackboard.
