Introduction

There are occasions when a printed copy of a test or assignment is required. This could be for students with accommodations, in-person test administration, or auditing purposes. Fortunately, this is easy to accomplish with most assessments created in Blackboard.

Instructions for tests without Question Pools

  1. From the Content and Settings tab in the assessment click on the Print button select Questions only or Questions with answers.

  2. The Printer defaults to Save as PDF. Click Save.

  3. Select the location to save the PDF version of the test.

Instructions for tests with Question Pools

While individual questions will print, questions that are contained within question pools will not be included. If such a test needs to be printed, it will be necessary to recreate a version of the test where all questions are individual. The easiest way to do this is the following:

  1. Create a second test. Add “Printable” to the title so you can identify it later.
  2. In the test creation screen, use the (+) icon and click Reuse Question.
  3. Find and select all the questions that you wish to include.
  4. The test will now contain all the questions individually and the Print option will work as expected.
